We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that Darren will be featured in the line-up for Tasting Australia 2024.

Presented by RAA Travel, Tasting Australia stands as South Australia’s enduring culinary festival, boasting a rich history. Held annually in Autumn, it serves as a exhilarating celebration of people, produce, and place—a fantastic chance to explore a diverse array of incredible experiences that pique our curiosity.

Tasting Australia crafts unforgettable memories through exclusive eating and drinking encounters that showcase the distinctive flavours and offerings unique to South Australia.

You’ll find Darren in Town Square as part of the Dining Galleries Series.

Bougie Brasseries  

Bougie Brasseries – Saturday May 11th 7pm – an indulgent, black-tie affair!

Join Darren, James Henry (Le Doyenne, France) and Scott Huggins(Magill Estate, SA) for entrée, two snacks, main courses and sides, dessert, cheese, expect local and French options curated by Valerie Henbest of The Smelly Cheese Shop.  Paired beverages with each course.

This is French food at its finest – cooking set to show why the cuisine retains such influence. It’s big. It’s bold. Heck, it’s bougie.

Sunday Best

Sunday Best -Sunday May 12th 12pm is certain to be something special . Three savoury and four sweet dishes and paired beverages with each course.

Darren Purchese, Julia Busuttil Nishimura (Best Selling Author and columnist, Melbourne) Alex Crawford (Sugar Man, SA) and Tom Robinson (Adelaide Hills Vineyard, SA) will gather to prepare a menu offering the best kind of culinary indulgence. Inspired savoury offerings are assured – and so too are delectable sweet treats. This Dining Gallery also happens to coincide with Mother’s Day. You know what to do!!
