250g unsalted butter
1 pinch salt
40g icing sugar
½ orange, zest finely grated
50 ml Brandy or Cognac

Whip the butter to pale in an electric stand mixer or by using an electric beater. Add the salt, sugar and orange zest and beat again for a couple of minutes. Continue to beat and trickle in the brandy. Store in the fridge for up to a week and serve with hot mince pies.
